Spatial–Temporal Characteristics of Precipitation and Its Relationship with Land Use/Cover Change on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, China

The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (QTP) is an area sensitive to global climate change, and land use/land cover change (LUCC) plays a vital role in regulating system at different temporal spatial scales. In this study, we analyzed the trend of precipitation characteristics LUCC on QTP. Meanwhile, also used normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) as indicator discuss relationship between precipitation. results show following: (1) Annual showed fluctuant upward rate 11.5 mm/decade from 1967 2016; three periods (i.e., 22 years, 12 2 years) oscillations annual were observed, which expectant years main oscillation period. It was predicted that QTP will still be stage increasing (2) plateau changed apparently 1980 2018. grassland decreased by 9.47%, unused increased 7.25%. From perspective distribution, transfer occurred western part QTP, while reverse mainly distributed northwestern (3) NDVI northern southwestern parts positively correlated with precipitation, negative correlations are southeast including Sichuan Yunnan Province. Our has shown fluctuating growth recent correlated. Furthermore, hope work can provide theoretical basis for predicting regional hydrology, research.
